Greater St. Louis NORML is the St. Louis chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML).

NORML's mission is to move public opinion sufficiently to achieve the repeal of marijuana prohibition so that the responsible use of cannabis by adults is no longer subject to penalty.

MEETINGS

We meet at 7:15 P.M. the second Thursday of each month at the Indian Trails branch of the St. Louis County Library, located at 8400 Delport (corner of Delport & Midland), St. Louis, MO 63114. Our meetings are open - everyone is welcome!

UPCOMING EVENTS

Thomas Jefferson's Birthday Bash - Sunday, May 10, 2009 - Tower Grove Park
Join us for a fun and laid back pot-luck picnic on Mother's Day to celebrate the birthday of one of the most important proponents of freedom, liberty, and hemp, Thomas Jefferson. We've unplugged things this year - we should have a couple of acoustic bands performing, but bring your guitar, picnic basket, and mom and have a great afternoon with us at Tower Grove Park from noon until whenever. Call our hotline at 314-995-1395 for more information.

Monthly NORML meeting - Thursday, May 14, 2009 - Indian Trails
May's general membership meeting is open to the public - everyone is welcome! We'll be recapping our recent events, the March to the Arch/St. Louis Worldwide Cannabis Liberation Day and Thomas Jefferson's Birthday. We'll also talk about our plans for this coming year and work on our initiative petition to decriminalize marijuana in the City of St. Louis.

RECENT EVENTS

St. Louis Worldwide Cannabis Liberation Day/March to the Arch - The March to the Arch last week was a huge success in spite of the fact that the city had to revoke our permit because of the flooding down at the Arch. The event moved indoors to Heartbreaker's on the Landing and we had a great turnout! We had tons of new people come out and got lots of signatures for our petition to decriminalize marijuana in the City of St. Louis. We'll have pictures posted soon - stay tuned!

Earth Day 2009 - Earth Day at Forest Park was a lot of fun - new members and lots of signatures for our decriminalization petition.

some_alt MARDI GRAS- Come sign our petition on Saturday February 21, 2009 at Mardi Gras! The Greater St. Louis NORML booth will be located on Allen near Geyer in Soulard (near The Shanti).

This won't be your only chance to sign our petition (we need 25,000 signatures) but if you're going to be at Mardi Gras why not check us out?

Vigil at the Jail - Our vigil at the county jail last week was great - the Clayton police came out, but they were friendly. We have a bunch of great pictures courtesy of our new Webster members.

Annual meeting - Our annual meeting had a GREAT turnout - the library had to bump us into a smaller room so we didn't get much sign making done, but we had a lot of new faces come out.
